Jamesport Amish Step Back in Time Tours will help you experience the Amish way of life not found in books! Lanita Sconce Smith, Jamesport Amish Step Back in Time Tour owner, is a former Jamesport resident and an experienced entertaining guide.

 

She will take you to Amish owned and operated businesses found outside the Jamesport city limits. On our way, view the beautiful Amish countryside and you may catch a glimpse of Amish workers in the field. See the Amish Produce Auction (seasonal), Amish sawmills, deer farms, schools (school children playing?), buggy shops, horseshoeing shops and so much more. We’ll even drive by the home of the Amish gentlemen who, until recently, made the Cinderella carriages for Disneyland and Disney World.

 

We’ll stop and have a chance purchase delicious baked goods made fresh at the Amish Bakery. You might find those hard to find items at the grocery store and taste more samples. Quilters love our fabric stores and continue to return for their low prices!

 

You’ll be able to shop, ask questions and get a glimpse of the lifestyle our ancestors experienced.

 

The highlight of our 2 1/2 tour, is the rare opportunity to go inside an Amish home and visit with the owner. Ask her any question, purchase craft items she made, see a buggy up close, and so much more! This is a tour and experience you’ll remember!

Since I am no longer a resident of Jamesport, I am unable to offer tours for groups less than 20 people with a new price of $20 per person. Reservations are necessary no less than 1 week in advance.

 

Because the tours are customized, no ‘add on’ group to a reserved group will be allowed.

 

Tours are educational, entertaining and filled with stories from a 20 year resident.
